Learn French Online
The French lessons were designed to help language students reach a level of proficiency that enables them to participate in most formal and informal French conversations. Each French lesson contains a topic introduced in a dialogue sentence, and each French lesson usually contains four or five grammar tips.
Each French lesson contains a dialogue to provide a body of natural French conversation as a source for future French drills and lessons. These French dialogues should be memorized to ensure the student comprehends the material in later French lessons.
The French student will be taught useful words to supplement the French vocabulary already learned with additional words, usually related to the topic of the French dialogue.
The language student will learn French vocabulary that enables them to better identify elements of the French sentences already learned as a whole.
Learn French With Various Language Drills:
- Lexical drills are used in the French language course to manipulate already acquired vocabulary and improve French fluency.
- French learning drills are used in the French language course to introduce new grammar points.
- Practice drills are used to give the student an opportunity to illustrate in sentences the grammar point he/she just covered.
- Question drills to prepare the student for normal conversation with native French speakers.
Learn French Using Review Drills

The Foreign Service Institute Method
Loquella uses the method and material created by the Foreign Service Institute created over 30 years ago to teach diplomats and government officials foreign languages before moving abroad. The method teaches you French through "guided imitation" and the drills are designed to help you "over-learn" the French language. Some believe that drills are boring, but besides immersing yourself in the language by moving to a French speaking country, drills and repetition are by far the most effective way to learn French.
